I had a low GRE score on the quantitative section, but other than that, I'm not really sure what factors of my application would be considered as detractors. Maybe I need to get a master's degree in something else first??
I have also applied to several entry-level healthcare jobs over the last few months and have gotten turned down for every damn one of them. Every time they post a job for a transporter, for example, it says that to qualify for the job you must have at least a GED, and it even says "no work experience required." I have a four-year B.S. in a science field and plenty of work experience. Who are the hospitals hiring instead for these positions?? People with PhD's in Nuclear Physics?!
Anyways, sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you this cycle. Good luck in the next cycle, if you decide to re-apply. Do you know if you are going to try again, or did you have some other healthcare career in mind to pursue instead?
The other day, someone told me about a relatively new career called Radiologist Assistant, but I think you have to become a radiology tech first. I think anesthesia is more interesting though!
