Also, there is more to an applicant than both the GRE and GPA. Maybe the 2.9 student has amazing life experiences, or other interesting features that will add to the incoming class. I disagree that Emory weighs GRE more than gpa. I think they prefer life experience and the main reason why you want to go there based on your essay, recommendations etc. You guys get so caught up on numbers and some secret formula that you forget that there are a lot of intriguing applicants. So if your numbers are down, yes, take the mcat and stop whining about how others got an interview and you didn't despite knowing nothing about a fellow applicant besides "tell me your stats". I was accepted to Emory with 1050 GRE, and 3.44 gpa
