That gun appears to be really nice; BUT, if that forend pictured above goes with this gun, IT AIN' RIGHT! No checkering, wrong shape, no forend tip; and that escutcheon is totally wrong for an ejector model Smith gun from this period (ain't nothin' that couldn't be put back correctly though). Does the sn# of the fore iron match the balance of the gun?
