I can't imagine all this constant restructuring, year after year, can at all be good for the students.
Possibly, Pre-K and Kindergarten in one school, then first, second and third in another school, then fourth, fifth, in another school...and then another restructuring, and another restructuring.
Hasn't the state pro-rated the amounts owed to the schools and made good on the money, and our district even received an additional eight hundred thousand (not exact figure)?
And I am also interested in the purchase of the property at Maryville Road and Stratford Lane. Wasn't that purchased by the district? Do they still own it? Are they leasing it? Could it not be used for the board offices?
I can't imagine the busing nightmare that would be caused by having students from every part of the city going to every single school in the city. The logistics would be insane.
