I don't think he can commit one way or the other. It would seem like he explained that the board will vote on the issue next month. My guess if he gave any commitment other than that board members would have his rear in a sling.
I've heard some of the exchange and the ideas on this. It seems as if former board candidate Knogl is stirring the pot on this as a platform for her third run at the board. I guess she doesn't know there's not another election until long after this issue is decided.
I'm not sure why they would move the board office into the current center. The only rationale or that would be if they could sell their existing offices to a downtown interest like the railroad or Prarie Farms Dairy.
In my opinion their goal should be to take the most financially advantageous option. A failed referendum and continuing state funding concerns leaves them very little choice.
Greenwald states they can still keep the program in tact so who cares where they put it if it saves money? Should be an interesting meeting next month.
