Hahahahahah.....there's that funny swelling smoke again !!!! 2) $125K ???? I haven't made so little in 10 years....is that all you're making??? I thought CRNAs and AAs made the same????
3) $250K ???? The doc making that is the first year employee of the group, as in not a partner yet. Making partner easily doubles that amount. They may be telling you that they have a salary of $250K, but they don't tell you about the pension and profit sharing and retirement plans, etc. etc. etc. The last doa group I worked for had 14 doc partners.....on top of everything else they made that year, the partners gave each other $100,000 bonuses for Christmas.....NOT chump change.
4) The majority of the LIP CRNAs out there are making better than these dollars but they are living at their hospitals....I'm getting too old to continue working that hard, so I've slowed down.
You do realize, I hope, that CRNAs don't get to set their billing rates any more than the doas do. We do the work and we submit a bill and the insurance company pays whatever they please....so, the more we work, the more we make....kinda like free enterprise ?? And by the way, I've got friends and golfing buddies who aren't CRNAs (or doas)and they're making a ton more than I've/we've EVER made......
And as for doas making lots of money 'cause they have all this education ---- I know teachers who have lots more education that docs and trust me, they aren't pulling down the $$$ any of us are making...so that's a totally bogus analogy.
