I've been practicing for 15 years and have done thousands of hearts. It's not about being impressed with myself, it's about patient care. All of your posts are about revenue and not one word about caring for your patients. You are the last person I would want at the head of the table caring for one of my loved ones. As for my involvement in my cases - I place all of the lines and do the case beginning to end with an attending present only at induction. I come off pump unless the patient is severely compromised in which case we manage the CPB wean together AS A TEAM. By superior care I mean that when I'm paired with a board certified anesthesiologist the care delivered is superior to that delivered by you and a friggin podiatrist.
