yoyo led the charge by saying something to the effect of "what a great communicator" he was (with praise more effusive than that).

i was utterly unfamiliar with the guy and took that opinion at face value. imagine my shock when days/weeks later when he was announced, and i saw a video of him for the first time. i couldnt have been more confused. he does kind of a "stooge" schtick (i think its a schtick) where he's always seeming to be kind of confused and uninformed. i think it's supposed to come across and deferential and non-threatening to women and poc.., but its very confusing why someone would look to him as a leader. i remember going back to yoyo's post after the fact, because i thought surely i had misremembered... alas i had not.
