as a white heterosexual male, it honestly offended me that they were holding out this eunuch of a man to their party as if he was representative of my culture. and then he'd prance out on the stage and do his "stooge" routine... it was honestly very insulting. it must have been like what a native american felt watching buffalo bill's wild west show back in the day... all while their surrogates synched up their "jd vance is weird!" talking points. what a world. Preferably men who can legitimately portray themselves as Western / Midwestern / Southern average joes (even as we appreciate that most prominent national politicians are anything but average). Guys with some degree of blue collar in their distant backgrounds. Perhaps military experience as well. Those are the only people who have any chance of luring back male voters.
