A link by Randy Wakeman describes that psi pressures for a given round may vary, here's the link: http://www.randywakeman.com/shotgun_pressures.htm Can anyone specify if this can be a lot/batch - batch difference, is this just something that good munitions manufacturers monitor? I don't want to imply skepticism but is reloading a more certain way to produce consistent firing pressures? I mean with saami standards in mind, can a shooter have more confidence in "this shell will not exceed this pressure" on a tested handload than from a favorite box of Federal, hevi-shot, Winchester and what have you? Anyone care to elaborate?
