I'm gladdened that the topic of Kent came up here as I'd been leaning toward the company for their conventional non-lead with lead-like ballistics shotshell. I acquired a L.C. FW 12 last summer, decent shape with minor acid deterioration on the finish around the pistol grip and forend, and a 5¢ hairline behind the left lock-plate. I'd been off and on thinking ways to lessen pressure, or reloading Kent-like after putting the initial brunt on an 870 Remington.
When waterfowl season came up I let it come and go for the stock's sake, but Tungsten matrix is my favorite shot to think about. I found the collectors association while I still had my down payment out. Boy am I grateful. Just for the carpentry design it does make me wonder though, if the Trap-Sic or Trap Olympic grade SBT guns could handle the current Kent pressures.
I'll probably become a member in the Spring-time, and consider getting out a bit; blow a little powder here and there.
Tim, very informative topic. Good question.
