I am just glad I was able to leverage the collective expertise of the forum to confirm my suspicions. As stated earlier in the thread, my buddy was very interested in this gun and thought it was potentially a screaming deal. He could have easily purchased and been saddled with that decision. So y'all can take some solace in the fact that you dissuaded at least one would be buyer.
This is really a great forum and was very helpful when I owned a 12 gauge featherweight a couple of years ago. It was actually my first shotgun (at 30 years old) and bought on a whim at a pawnshop for $300. I could have easily gotten burned on something like this 410 but fortunately didn't. I was happy with that gun, enjoyed it by shooting it, and turned a profit on it when I sold. Can't wait until get another!
