Not sure whether to go here...but here goes anyway.
I have just gotten back my 1906 12 ga. Smith from getting cleaned up and the guys suggested using black powder rounds because of the lower pressure tolerances for the Damascus barrels. This is a field grade hammer gun with no nice stuff. The story is my great-grandfather "just wanted a gun to put something on the table." Any ideas on loads to shoot at clays or doves? How about light Winchester rounds or do I really have to go with the black powder stuff due to the age?
