As SGT mentioned earlier in this thread, this event has nothing in common with NSCA, other than using round orange targets. Through the 2006 event, the target setter for this event was a contractor that travels with traps to various events (mostly NSCA), so the presentations will be familiar to Sporting Clays competitors. Teal, chandelle, crossing and quartering birds. In the three years I've participated, there has not been a rabbit, but as Destry mentioned, that possibility is out there. Haven't seen any other specialty targets (60mm, 90mm, or battue) yet either, but who knows?

Since this is a TEAM event, there is no individual classification or handicapping. The top 10 qualifying scores are used to select the team, and then it is strictly raw target count for the team.

There were some growth-related problems with the operation of the event this past April. I am confident that the orgainizing committee has addressed those for the upcoming event. I am looking forward to trying to qualify having just missed the final team the past couple of years. I just laid in a bunch of components so that I can come better prepared this time!
