    Long Barrels Archived Message

Looking at Brophy's book, (can't wait for the new one to arrive) and looking at the various barrel lengths from A-3 to Crown Grade, and noticed in particular that no 16 ga. 32" barreled guns made. Seems odd. Yet there are at least 7 20 ga., 32" barreled guns.
Since it does not list any other grades with the barrel length, was wondering if anyone has or heard of any 16 ga. with 32" barrels.
Seems to me a 20 ga., with 32" barrels would be at a premium, even in a Field Grade.
I'm guessing on the configuration of the 20 guages listed that they might have been used for trap shooting, ventilated ribs, beavertail forend, single selective trigger, etc.
    Any thoughts?
