Replacing the hinge pin in an L.C. Smith is possible, because replacement(oversize)hinge pins were shown in the L.C Smith drawings, but I don't know how it was done, because there is a locking pin that goes through the knuckle and hinge pin. I don't know how you would get the locking pin out to remove the hinge pin without doing serious damage to the knuckle.
