The latest in windshield antennas are even worse, because the new radios are software defined, computer screens generating more noise but with less filtering used (they save more money). They also tend to be very "directional" on AM and FM, causing weird signals to be there, or not there. The in windshield antennas really increase the cost of the windshield itself if it needs to be replaced, another negative.

Also, it is no longer vandalism, the reason is.... "less drag and better fuel economy". The scary thing is, they are correct, but it is negligible unless it is combined with a ton of other modifications on the car so it adds up!
