I used to listen to 67 WMAQ-AM regularly and I do miss it. Life marches on. I recall seeing billboards advertising that all-news station.

Interesting due to the NBC tie-in, the hit TV series "ER," always used audio from WMAQ-AM as well as video from Channel 5, WMAQ-TV. Obviously, keeping it in the NBC family. I think Warner Sanders recorded a "fake" news report related to something happening in the Chicago of "ER."

Note how the Sears Tower, as it was called back then was always in a background shot to remind viewers this was Chicago.
