To me, the pictures do actually look dramatically different than my memory of the Shapeways offering. And whatever CAD images he showed turned to featureless blobs and a rough surface in PA-12, in any case. To get whatever detail he intended, you had to go to acrylic resin, and up in price to over what this is offered at. And, yes, I am gambling. I am buying based on a rendering, not an image of the actual product. I want this bad enough that I am willing to try it. I will let you know how it works out. Previous Message
Yes, DFNM was also very expensive at Shapeways. If you do not like to use PE, the approach by DFNM is attractive. I added in several cases 50-100 scratch build parts to complete a DFNM model. And then 90 $ is expensive. If the quality detail-wise will be dramatically better than at Shapeways, ok. But the pictures do not look like that. Please correct me, when you got it.
Doggy Industries and JAG are complete kits with PE. DFNM does look for me like a starting point, not like a complete kit.
And: why is the 1/350 kit so much cheaper than the 1/700, if the size is considered?
