I also don't make my purchasing decisions as mathematically as you do. I don't care what 1/350 costs, nor what fractions of it 1/700 costs. I look solely at what 1/700 costs, then factor in other things, most of which I already have given. For this specific subject, only about four kits even exist. This is competitive among them. The actual subject has yet to be completed, so I can't see myself wanting or "needing" to add 50 to 100 "missing" parts. I looked at what is shown/"claimed" to be included, and am satisfied if all that actually shows up. I would then feel this subject worth this price...to me. (Which is kind of why I ordered it...) I am buying one kit, of one subject, in one scale. I am not shopping an entire product range in multiple scales. To me...this will be worth it, if it comes as shown. And that is the risk part for me. I won't be thrilled if it doesn't substantially match the images.
For you, this is plainly not to your liking. It is a free market, and a complex one, as I have noted, and I respect your view, and appreciate your input. All perspectives are welcome, and everyone will reach their own conclusions. That's how it should be.
I will let you know when I receive it what more I think of it. Previous Message
Should have been: "The price of the 1/700 waterline is very expensive compared to the 1/350 full hull. The waterline version in 1/700 is only 10 $ cheaper than full hull. That does not explain the price. 1/350 is 8x larger, but the 1/700 does cost 2/3 of the price. Why?"
