Correction

Should have been: "The price of the 1/700 waterline is very expensive compared to the 1/350 full hull. The waterline version in 1/700 is only 10 $ cheaper than full hull. That does not explain the price. 1/350 is 8x larger, but the 1/700 does cost 2/3 of the price. Why?"
