Seems like
we saw such about February as well, this after we were pointed in
January to observe the month of March, and March saw that Bragging
change course, and in April on the very first day, we were pointed to
Mid April and to May, and sure enough those floods came to the very
regions noted, and what happened to all their boasts?
And what
happened to Prices ? Yeah, anyway…so in vs 14 we see Joseph gathers
all the money in the land, and in 15 we see the money fail, that is
everybody goes broke and now Joseph has made Pharaoh the richest man
on the entire planet. So now the people don’t’ have money to buy
corn, so when the com plain about being hungry, we see Joseph sell
them food for their cattle, they can’t feed them anyway, Joseph and
Pharaoh got all the grain, but this is not about greed, it’s about
everybody getting through this alive, and later we see they do and are
grateful to be broke, and have no more cattle. But it doesn’t end
there, before they come to that point, when they have nothing left,
the whole world, ALL THE PEOPLE IN ALL THE LANDS, INCLUDING THE LAND
OF EGYPT Sell themselves into Slavery to Pharaoh by the hand of an
Israelite, and they are greatful for it, so in vs 16-20 we see all
this, and then Joseph buys all the people as Slaves to serve Pharaoh,
But who RULES ALL OF PHARAOH’s Affairs? Joseph does Egypt went into
Slavery to an Israelite long before Israel went into slavery to Egypt.
So who is all the known world really bowing down to? That’s right,
Joseph. But now wait a second, Everybody doesn’t go into Slavery do
they? Where are Josephs Brothers? They are considered an abomination
aren’t they? Sure they are famous, and respected, but at a distance,
and only because they are mingling with the prouder classes of the
Egyptians, and so they are doing what they always did, what more, they
are getting paid to do it for Pharaoh (Gen 47:6) And made rulers over
all his cattle, so now who owns all the cattle? Well, Pharaoh, and
who controls all of Pharaoh’s affairs? Joseph does, and who is ruler
over all that Cattle when everybody goes broke, getting paid to be
rulers over that cattle, and now, ALL THE CATTLE EVERY LAST BIT OF IT,
Because now, it all belongs to Pharaoh!!! WHO?? You got it, the house
of Jacob, these guys have got it made. But now how did Joseph know
the religious cutoms of Egypt, how was he so in the know about what
Egyptians considered abominations?
Remember his wife, remember me telling you to underline something back
in Genesis 41:45?
His Wife was the daughter of a priest, he was very in the know to take
care of his household, but now, even his wifes household is taken care
of. Now everybody in the land are slaves, but wait a second, not
everybody, are they? Why did the people sell themselves into slavery?
Because they were hungry, Huh? Yeah. But now here, long before this
point, the priests, they aren’t tempted to sell themselves into
slavery are they? No, why? Read vs. 47:22, how do you think his wife
would have felt, if Joseph made her father a slave? Probably wouldn’t
have liked that huh? I tell you the day he interpreted Pharaohs Dream
he was given greater insight into his own, and when Made ruler of all
of Egypt, though still not fully understanding the dreams of his
youth, surely must have had speculations on coming events, and as time
passed, Joseph is busy working, and doing so prudently, and is made
prosperous by God. Note that Pharaoh idid not say “SURELY THE SPIRIT
OF A GOD IS IN THIS MAN…” not at all, The Egyptians had contempt for
the Hebrews even in this time and we see such, even Potiphers wife
illustrated such, but the God of Abraham was famous, in that land, and
Pharaoh believed in God. And for his belief, his entire kingdom is not
only spared, but given to him both in name and deed, every living
thing, and every property, all in title and deed to Pharaoh and all
under the rule of Joseph, outside the throne, Joseph ruled everything
upon which the sun and moon shone, AND Pharaoh, he loved him for it.
This was a good ruler, a wise ruler, he valued the life of his people
above his wealth, and to spare that life, he gave away his power to a
lowly slave, and of race of people considered the bottom class.
Indeed Jacob was right, God BLESS PHARAOH. A wise and good man.
In vs 24 we see something interesting, the people are given back land
and possession, but Joseph moves some around, reassigns them to more
fruitful positions according to the prudence God has given him to
bring the land out of famine. Underline the words “FIFTH PART” and we
see Pharaoh gets not only a tithe, but a DOUBLE TITHE, and tithing is
already established by this point, we see such with Abraham and
Methusalh I seem to recall, but much earlier in Genesis, perhaps it
was Enoch, but I am pretty sure it was Abraham. And it became a law,
and only the priest s didn’t have to pay, for they kept their land,
Josephs father in law and his friends. IN many cultures priests had
property, not just land, but farms and flocks and goods. Not all, but
many. Here they certainly had land, and whether they raised food or
not, they certainly got a free portion of the food that was stored.
Now the people, are they angry, NO, they realize the truth of the
situation, they went hungry, they felt their stomachs rumble, and they
realize their very lives have been spared and confess as much in vs
28, and underline the last sentence in that verse, as well the verse
prior. You know it’s always seemoingly later generations who belly
ache and complain and stick their hands out for the pain their
anscestors felt, but they didn’t feel any hunger, did they? Guess we
will have to wait and see.
I had a roommate one time complain to me about his his anscestors
being slaves, now he stayed in my house for free, I charge him no
rent, him and his girlfriend for months. Not a dime, and one day he
complains about stuff that happened 150 years ago, that I had nothing
to do with, I called on thematter, My family never owned slaves, not
that I know of, my step famlly did, Elizabeth Carver had a plantation
that reached from what later became Virginia all the way south into
most of what later became South Carolina. Even still, I never placed
lashes on his back, nor his grandfathers, or great grandfathers, still
the sins of the fathers often carry forward for genertations, and I am
not accusing Joseph, the Egyptians contempt of the Hebrews existed
long before he was even born, still, it is interesting note at this
point that he was the first or amongst some of the first, but
certainly the first noted in scripture Hebrew Slave in Egypt. All
this may be nothing, but it may bear a lot greater meaning later on as
well.
In Vs 28, we see the timeframe that Jacob lived in Egypt, and learn
that he is getting ready to die, placing him at 147 years old, and
after 17 years, Joseph 39 upon being reunited, is now in vs 28, 56
years old, and Jacob makes him swear to return his body to be buried
in the land of his fathers.
CHAPTER 48
In Chapter 48, we see Jacob fall sick, and news is sent to Joseph,
and in vs 2, we begin to see something interesting in relation to
Revelation 7 and the 12 tribes of Israel noted there. Remember our
discussion of Dan not being numbered in the 144,000 and Mannesah
being called a tribe of Israel, well here you see the origins of such,
Jacob upon his death bed, adopts both of Josephs sons Ephraim and
Mannesah as his very own sons, to rank not as Grandsons, but equals
with Even Reuben and Simeon the very eldest of sons. So upon his
deathbed, Jacob gains two more sons, and now there are 14 sons of
Israel, not 12. And then the boys are brought to Israel, and he calls
them to him to bless them, and in vs 16 and underline this, we see he
says “LET MY NAME BE NAMED ON THEM” and so, Manasseh is a tribe of
Israel as much, as it is of Joseph, and by hierarchy and Jacobs
request, more so.
And Jacob is near blind, but has carefully place his hands upon the
boys and goes to bless them to give the greater blessing, the right of
the first born, to the youngest instead, as even he gained in his
lifetime being the youngest son of Isaac. And Josephs starts to stop
him to which Israel tells him, I know What I am doing, (vs 19) and
then he gives the greater blessing to the younger son, and he goes to
Joseph in vs 22, and of all his sons, gives Joseph, the youngest of
his sons before Jacobs time of trouble and Joseph being sold into
slavery, HE gives The right of the firstborn to the youngest of those
years, the years of his happiness as well, giving Joseph a DOUBLE
PORTION in vs, 22, which is still evident to this day, in the promise
of God to make a great peoples of Jacob, as in the 144,000, two of the
tribes numbered are of the loins of Joseph, Manasseh, a half-breed
Egyptian and Hebrew. Which tells you of even more fallacy in the
mainstream doctrine of the Rapture theorists, who preach that those
144,000 will all be MALE VIRGIN JEWS….not so, if you know anything
about today’s prideful Jews, who claim full blooded Hebrew Ancestry
all the way back to Abraham, and even then such a claim should tell us
about them in more detail as well. This is also right to your
heritage as one with a heart for the truth, as the Hebrews
intermingles so often, likewise the Egyptians, you could very well be
both Hebrew and Egyptian and not even know it, and as for the Tribe OF
Ephraim, well, Clive notes they are reported to have joined back into
the Tribe of Joseph, so a great portion of them are half breeds as
well, and bas progress, we may see there are no PURE BLOODS by the
accounting of scripture, not at all.
