He believed it when God sent the dream, he was given understanding, panicked, tried to tell everyone, because he loved his mother, he didn’t care if Egypt and Canaan starved to
death, he just wanted his mamma.
, And he tells his dad a portion of his vision, but his dad
misinterprets, and at this point, Joseph doesn’t really understand
who the sun and the moon represent yet, but he understands ASPECTS of his dream,
and he knows his mother will die in childbirth, but later he is made a ruler of
all Egypt, and he marries a priest’s daughter, he certainly learned of
their ways of worship and their role in his dream as sun worshippers.
He learned of astronomy as a ruler of that land. And over time,
anguish made him wish to forget his childhood, and he did, (Gen 41:52) and in so doing he also would for a time forget the dream of his youth the dream he was trying
to stop from coming to pass, but God had other plans, and by the time
his brothers bow to him, he has remembered the understanding of his
youth, given in that second dream.
You ever been told in a dream or vision someone is going to die? How
easy do you think it would have been to tell your father he was going
to have another child, but your mother would die in childbirth, how
easy to tell her as well? You think it would be any easier to tell your brothers
or for that matter a complete stranger or someone you barely knew?
Trust me, it’s not, I
have been told to do such, and could not bring myself to do so, only
to see later the person passed within 2 weeks of my being told so, and
then I carried guilt and remorse for years before confessing the
matter to the one I was to tell, and begging repentance, as I may have
robbed them the chance to properly say goodbye. On the other hand, I
have had people get very angry with me upon learning that lesson when
later in their situation, I did not refrain, and still the person died
in the timeline I was told. You think that kind of thing is easy?
You’re kidding yourself, and I would tell you that you don’ t know
what the hell you are talking about, I have been there, I know better.
So we see the courage of Judah as while in trouble, accused of
stealing, he risks his very life to approach the ruler of all of
Egypt, superceded only in the throne by Pharaoh himself, and certainly
servants hands must have touched hilt of sword, restrained only by the
calm demeanor of their master, and Judah begins to plea in vs 33. And
then we see his true honor, he offers himself to spare his father, for
love of the same, for love of his younger brother, he offers himself a
slave for the rest of his life. Underline the 1st sentence in vs
44:28, the last sentence in vs 30 and the 1st sentence in vs 31.
Note in vs 30 “HIS LIFE IS BOUND UP IN THE LAD”S LIFE” and in your
margin, write the word “LIFE-FORCE.” For indeed a person can lose the
very will to live at the loss of a loved one, and the joy of purpose
in life can often sustain a person into greater years than their
seemed measure. Ever see someone who is a workhorse retire, and then
their health gets really poor, and then they die?
CHAPTER 45 COMMENTARY
So we see Judah’s plea, and then in the opening verses of chapter 45,
we see Joseph moved by such plea
and his finally letting his brethren in on the matters. And he
understands the dreams of his youth fully, and tells the truth to his
brethren, and he is not holding them accountable, and we see why it is
he feared God and only kept Simeon the first time, rather than letting
only one return, he knew then his dream was coming true, and as angry
as he was at his brothers, he knew the greater truth.
I have been falsely accused, committed on a hideous lie which took me nearly 2
decades to receive proof of for my choosing to express openly that I
sided with the Branch Davidians in the events of 1993, but without
that committal, there are significant events which I witnessed which
would not have been documented had I Not been committed. Very
significant details to the prophecies of David Koresh coming to pass,
to event s coming to pass the Branch Davidians have yet to suspect for
the most part, and to things of great importance, matters of very
physical life and death for many people, and you don’t know of these
things, not for the most part, and it is far from truly evident for
those of you who know in part, but I know, I can relate to Joseph in
that and in verse 5 of chapter 45, we see the reason Joseph feared God
in these matters when he kept only Simeon and recanted his anger in
GEN 42:16, underline that last statement in Gen 45:5 and to the margin
place “CR- Gen 42:16” and underneath, write “HE KNEW” as you will see
whom Joseph sees truly responsible for his being sold into slavery.
And no longer do we see a spoiled brat who tattled on his brothers,
who when given a dream by God panicked with anguish upon his face and
tried to stop the dream from coming to pass by telling all, we see a
man who realizes now the greater good of the events which had to come,
and we see his brethren, and all with praise for JAH’ in their hearts.
Underline the 1st statement in Gen 45:8, the last statement in Gen
45:16, the last Sentence in Gen 45:19 an d the last statement in Gen
45:22. Later we will see about the time of Moses a time when all of
Israel are become slaves to the Egyptians, but here first, we are
about to see very shortly, a time when all of Egypt, the entire land,
along with the entire known world, went into slavery to an Israelite.
CHAPTER 46-49 COMMENTARY
In Chapter 45, we seen Joseph confess to his brothers his identity,
and he shared with them not to be sad nor angry, but to understand the
dreams of his youth and that God had orchestrated the matter. We
didn’t note it, but in 45: 2 AND ALSO VS 16, that after Joseph sent
his servants out of the room so that he could be alone with his
brethren, his servants may not eaves dropping, but they certainly
remained in ear shod, in fact the whole house heard the matter, but now
Joseph was weeping and crying aloud.
