there are an equal number of good teachers as there are bad. I taught high screwl for three years in Alton in the early eighties. I think it takes a special kind of cat to do that. I found out I wasnt cut out for it, so I quit. Many teachers stay, and dont do a good job.Also many stay and do a great job. I loved the kids, just felt someone else could do a better job. I always had a cold because the kids came to school sick, way too much political bull from the administrators. I was never a dope head, but after having a bad day on my desk was a joint with a note that said "you need to smoke this and relax". I stuck it in my pocket. On the way home, I pulled over and tried it. Somebody had emptied the pencil sharpener and made a doobie. Beginning and ending of my drug addiction. My advice to teachers is if you dont like it, quit and do something else. Go become a lion tamer or something.
