Holy crap is right! The entire city is stalled and beginning to decay just like it did back in the days of the old administration. It's people had better stand up and take notice while there is anything left to fight for. People can keep singing the praises of the economic developer and patting him on the back for a job well done, but I don't see it. I think majority of the people don't see it either, but don't have the balls to speak up about it because everyone knows how much the mayor likes this guy.
RT 3 has stalled and I have no idea how Lowes even stays in business. The Walmart expansion being credited to the E.D. is a joke, everyone knows that Walmart had that plan in place for years. The main focus or the E.D. seems to be for bike trails (what a joke) grants, monies easy for the pickens not much effort or work involved on that subject. The residents of the city could not care less about more bike trails.

The Nameoki Commons area should be full, its the prime shopping area in the heart of the city. The shopping area around Dollar Tree and the old Big Lots, just sitting there empty and rotting month by month. Why hasn't someone made that restaurant remove that old sign (sweet pea's) I think? Why is that allowed to just sit like that for all this time? The city needs to think about making some kind of move against these commercial building owners who's buildings stay empty for such a long period of time. Make them adjust the rent to a more reasonable rate or pay a fine for letting these buildings stay empty year after year. I would like to know exactly what the E.D. is responsible for bringing to the city since he was given this position and just how many more years he will be allowed to remain at this pace.

Whether its a drive around the city taking in the sights or a search thru Zillow, the future of the city does not look very promising. I can't imagine what its going to be 10 years from now if this is allowed to continue.
