My family and I just returned from a visit to Washington, DC to see some of the sights that I had seen with my dad during his WWII veterans Honor tour last October. The WWII memorial is an impressive sight but it is sobering to realize that many of our veterans will never live to see their memorial as their window of opportunity is closing rapidly.
