Sixty nine years ago today, one of the greatest military assaults in American history took place. To our dwindling number of WWII heroes a special salute and thank you for your service. They were the last generation of soldiers to soundly and completely defeat the enemy. May those who have departed RIP and stand at ease. God bless these fine Americans.
