There is nothing that can be done regarding raises for union jobs since it is in their contract. It's in their current contract however if elected would you hold the line on raises for all? Would you allow the union to strike over money? Do I understand that you are a union member? If so, it will be hard for you to watch another union strike won't it?

I am not saying I am against the administrators receiving raises to keep up with the teachers. However if you look at the percentage increase for both teachers and administrators you will see that administrators are seeing a larger increase.
I think the district has usually used a "me too" philosophy of pay. In other words if the teachers get a two per cent raise so do the janitors and administrators. Fair? Who can say? Granted since the salaries are higher they net more money on the same percentage.
