Yet another example of why the war on drugs is a failure, and will always be, people will keep trying to beat the law.
If there were more legal alternatives, people wouldn't resort to such extreme and untested ways to get high, but no, many people don't even want marijuana legalized, so this is what happens, and many people who are addicted end in prisons instead of in medical care where they belong.
Sending them to prison costs taxpayers billions, does nothing to help the addicts (since they can get the same drugs in prison anyway), and they often return to prison or end up dead. Nations that forcefully commit addicts to rehab instead of prison have far lower drug usage rates, and far less violent crime because of it, but I guess we will never learn here in America
