That sounds about right Kev. My great aunts created a huge binder full of stuff on my mom's side of the family. Apparently we have a statue of one of our ancestors in Pennsylvania.
However, not much is known about my dad's side. I was going to have my friend look it up for me, and she wanted all full names of everyone in the family 3 generations back, along with birthdates and any places they were known to live. I just haven't bothered to get it all together yet.
There is also a website called Find a Grave where you can see burial sites. My friend spends her free time taking pictures of grave sites and adding in the names. I've been wanting to take the names from the genealogy book my aunts gave me and see if I can find any of my ancestors. Might be kinda neat.
