So, is this the all-powerful group of public servants who can/will let the long-standing downtown gcbilliards business languish and possibly go out of business for want of a liqueur license, while allowing other old and new business establishments in the downtown area to sell alcohol?
If so--they are creeps--all are created equal, and should be treated so, under the law. There really is no valid argument to not allow him his license to improve his business.
+1 I don't like the idea either, as much as I have respect for Hagnauer, that an unelected board has the same power to make rulings about downtown that the city council does, seems very undemocratic to me.
Not only do they have this much power, but I guarantee you that most average residents don't even know they exist, I didn't until Ron was exposed for the assclown that he is.
They should be elected, or at least have mayoral appointments to the board be approved by city council vote, with it well advertised that the vote is going to take place so residents can get their 2 cents in.
