this country and it's people do not want pre-existing conditions, I don't understand what you mean by this. By passing legislation to force Insurance companies to make unprofitable decisions. You increase the cost on those that don't need the extra service. I know its cars, but I can't wrap my car around a pole, THEN go get insurance to have my car fixed. That is not the way it works. There is no way to make it work like that, car insurance costing as much as a new car aside. Health insurance companies don't have very large profit margins either. You miss portray the industry completely when you call them "Greed Driven" They do have to make money, that is why they exist after all, but not nearly like some of the other industries out there, Take Microsoft for example. our healthcare system is inferior to many other countries despite being the most expensive I believe that to be patently false. It may be expensive, but it is the best. Thats why people come here to get surgery. I know the World Health Organization may think our health care system is the worst in the world. But I'm not going to Cuba, who they rate well, to have surgery. Ever heard about the waits in Canada, or the teeth problem in the UK? but the question then becomes - how do we expand access and coverage to more people? how do we help our most vulnerable citizens? It is simply not the job of the US Government to "help" our "most vulnerable." It has much bigger things to worry about right now. Let the American people protect the vulnerable citizens. They are more than capable, and eager, to do the task, and much more efficient than the government.
