Right you are Dee. This was a classic. If we're going to start going back and rewriting literature based on the language that was common in the era it was written, what's next? We better take the word "bastard" out of Catcher in the Rye. I don't want to read any derogatory or foul language in any book The song "Mammy" needs to be changed immediately to read, "Mother". How about "Gone With The Wind"? Maybe Scarlet should have a white servant instead of a black one. It's ridiculous. Oh and how about all that rap music of today that uses the "F" word and the "N" word like it's going out of style. Teachers have used Twain's bookd to teach lessons about why racism is not right. Changing a literary masterpiece is wrong. But, it's really not a big suprise with everything else going on in the world.
