Generally, it seems like a neutral project. It has benefits (track safety & reduction of traffic jams) and negatives (costly, poor street connectivity, displaced businesses, etc).
That said, I don't blame anyone for taking the most convenient route to the overpass. Hell, I think I will take Terrace Drive to test it out, seeing as I am coming from Fehling up Nameoki. Connectivity is of utmost importance. More available route options should be a priority. That is why grid systems work so efficiently and why having one-way streets near the park is acceptable. If Terrace gains popularity, it should be widened and have sidewalks added to mitigate the concerns of residents. It is public street owned by EVERY citizen and we have the right to use it.
