Awe, come on, I wasn't that mean.
All I'm saying is the argument presented by this person is weak.
For them to suggest that local government is going to close Terrace Lane off to traffic is absurd.
Really, would it only be gated off Pontoon Road? Or would they gate it off at the other end as well?
Would they gate off all the side streets coming off of Nameoki Road?
No one heading west on Pontoon Road, going to say Shop N Save is going to continue down all the way to the overpass, turn right, and back track, it just isn't going to happen.
Hooch & Sixteens, Sun Alterations, etc., have been dealt a big handful of crap, unfortunately, but it boils down to what is necessary for the betterment of all. And obviously this is what the powers that be feel is an improvement for our community. So, these businesses will be forced to make adjustments one way or another. They will have to deal. It's called progress in the minds of many.
The same holds true for the residents who live on and off of Terrace Lane. If Terrace Lane were not designed to be a through street, they should not have connected it to Johnson Road and Pontoon Road. And honestly, if you don't think Mockingbird Lane was in DIRE NEED of repair, I don't even know what to say about that.
I agree with Opi, if we should be allowed to close off streets to prevent traffic, then I want mine closed off too.
And if their taxes are all that much higher than the rest of us, which I doubt, considering what I see on mine, they should insist on sidewalks, or thought about that before purchasing the homes.
All I'm saying is, we all pick up stuff out of our yards that get blown into them, we all have inconsiderate neighbors and drivers who drive too fast down our streets. This person just needs to deal.
