WUS...why do you have to be so mean? Those people over there have some VERY real problems. I've heard of the horror stories the residents living in that area and the businesses for that matter, are going thru since the construction of the overpass began. And, it doesn't appear it's any better now the overpass is done. One resident told me the traffic count is higher than it was prior to construction beginning.

Honestly I feel sorry for them. I don't believe Terrace Lane or Fair Oaks for that matter were originally constructed to handle that kind of traffic.

Madison Avenue on the other hand was constructed to handle that traffic with four lanes for traffic, real curbs and sidewalks. Plus it is a straight shot down that road and no curves.
The people on Terrace don't even have real curbs, let alone sidewalks. Their kids have to walk in the street.

I think it poses a real liability on the City's behalf not to address the situation. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Plus, maybe the Terrace Lane people wouldn't mind it so much if they were paying the Madison Avenue rate of property taxes.

The people who live on Stratford or Mockingbird have better streets and they haven't been in the "City Limits" all that long.

But WUS, it's okay if you want to throw your beer cans and Taco Bell wrappers out on their street and in their yards. From what I have heard, they are use to picking up strays trash.

So, I personally wouldn't mind the inconvenience of having to find another way to the overpass besides using my usual cut thru on Terrace Lane if it provides a little security for those folks.

There are dead ends, cul-de-sacs and one way streets all over this town. What's one more?
Especially if it keeps the cars out of people's yards, hitting their houses or my gosh, God forbid, their children.

I feel sorry for the folks on the other side of the overpass too! They really have had some hardships too! One friend who lives in the Briarview area wants to know when the trains will stop blowing their horns when they roll thru Pontoon Rd?

How does anyone on Pontoon Rd. get out of their driveways?
