3 years ago I had the pleasure of going to MCRD in San Diego and seeing my nephew become a Marine. The whole weekend was an awesome experience. I have never felt so patriotic and so proud. I have to say one of the best parts of the trip was when we got on the plane to come home and a few rows ahead of us was a soldier. Before we pulled away from the gate a stewardess went up to the soldier and said " oh no, you will be in first class!" As she escorted him to 1st class everyone on the plane started clapping. It was the icing on the cake to an already wonderful long weekend with United States Marines.
