Gotta admit when we were walking toward the car my wife asked me something. I couldn't answer because I had a huge lump in my throat. When we got in the car she saw I had a few tears in my eyes. She didn't say anything because she knew exactly why they were there.
God I love this country. Forget all the stupid politics and some of the screwed up mess it causes. But when you have a chance to see a man in his eighties wearing a cap with the US Navy on it and you know he's "been there", that is the coolest experience I've had. I hope that man lives to be a hundred and is able to tell his great grandkids his stories.
