While I think most CRNA's would agree that the didactic prereq's for AA school are much more difficult than for CRNA school, they would probably counter that being a nurse is more important (which I disagree with). As for my background, my first degree was in biology with a chem minor so the only hurdle I had to jump over was the MCAT. None of my nursing classes counted at all although I will admit that my nursing background has helped some. But when it comes down to, learning the basic sciences is much easier if you have a strong biology/chemistry background.
