Yes I feel your salary should be limit to $200,000-$210,000 for solo CRNAs why ? because your not a Doctor(MDA)your a Nurse you do not have 1/3 of a MDA knowledge the only reason why you are allowed to practice solo is because of your strong lobby. A Doctor education in Anesthesiology is a whole different ENTITY PERIOD. 2-1/2 years of CRNA school will never touch 12years of ANESTHESIOLOGIST school whether your a AA-C/CRNA. Your CRNAs on here always telling the AA-Cs to go medical school or nursing Oh wait a minute AA-Cs do go to Medical school or School of Medicine and there courses are Pre-Med. See how you CRNAs use your tactics and politics against the AA-C profession VERY SAD.

Trust me If you went to medical school to be a Anesthesiologist(MDA)I assure you your whole thinking concept of a CRNA thinking he/she are equal to a MDA would be totally different. Again $250,000-$300,000 is a MDA salary I stand by my word and so do they the MDAs. The problem with the vast majority of you CRNAs not all are very Arrogant and you think your Superior and the truth is your not just because you have more members no one is Superior but GOD.

To answer your logic question AA has a B.S. in one of the hard science usually yes that is true that's why they makes up for the 1-2 years ICU experience they do not have(AA-C). Yes 4 years B.S. plus 24-28 months in AA program 6.5 years, right at 7 years as an AA-C vs CRNA has a BSN 2-3 years critical care experience and 28 months CRNA school a total of 9 years give or take. Okay so you have 2 years on a AA-C with no ICU experience and your point is ? . You said you think AAs provide excellent care and are careful providers. There is no thinking they are very competent Anesthetist(AA-C).

Okay LET ME TURN IT AROUND TO YOU! AND YOUR FELLOW CRNAs REMEMBER ALL THESE PEOPLE BELOW ARE
    ANESTHESIOLOGIST ASSISTANT CERTIFIED(ANESTHETIST-AA-C).

#1.AA-CRN has a BSN=4 usually 2-3 years of critical care experience ACLS&PAL and 28months of AA school for a total of 9years. REMEMBER he/she is one of your fellow ICU NURSE that chose to go AA-C route instead CRNA route still a Anesthetist.

#2.AA-CCCP(Perfusion)has a B.S.=4 has 2-3 years of critical care experience in the O.R. and ICU operating IABP, ECMO, LVAD, CPBP,& ACLS&PALS with 28 months of AA school for a total of 9 years.

#3.AA-CRRT or AA-CRCP(Register Respiratory Therapist or Respiratory Care Practitioner)has a B.S.=4 has 2-3 years of critical care experience in ICU/O.R. operating IABP, ECMO, LVAD, ACLS&PALS 28 months of AA school a total of 9 years.

#4.AA-CCer.Aneshtesia Tech&Technologist has a B.S.=4 has 2-3 years critical care O.R. experience with ICU combine, Knowledge of Anesthesia Machine and trouble shooting, Difficulty Airway specialty in all intubation from Neo-Aldult, IABP, Cell Saver, Level One Rapid machine, RIS rapid machine, FMS rapid machine, pharmacology, ACLS&PALS, Cardiac Out put monitor(Swan Ganz Catheter)performing a wedge on the patient, CI,CO,SVO2, assist in inserting Arterial line, Central lineX1x2x3x4Lumen, Codis, Outside cases such as ICU, Cath Lab, G.I., MRI, etc. 28 months of AA school a total of 9 years.

AND YOUR POINT IS AGAIN ?

That's my point the vast majority of you CRNAs not all, always want to throw ICU experience in the AA-C face when the majority of AA-Cs have health care experience back ground as well as medical. As I have mention above the AA-C that do not have ICU experience still comes out of AA school doing exceptional well as a Anesthetist.

As you can see we as Allied Health Care professionals have a lot of education under our belt and and highly skilled competent providers. We can do just about anything a nurse can do with the difference the majority of us are not Nurses. AA-Cs have been doing fine for the past 35 years and counting with no ICU experience and have been safely putting patients under Anesthesia and serving our community exceptional well with no problems. SO PLEASE GO DO YOUR POLITICS SOME WHERE ELSE HAVE A GOOD DAY.
