This is my first time posting a response on this website. I am a CRNA with a 15 yr. work history. I work in a very large practice with AA's, MDA'a, DOA's, and CRNA's. The docs supervise what we do and as far as I can tell all of the anesthetists are very well trained and provide excellent anesthesia care. I have always thought that there should not be the constant battle between the CRNA and the AA.....the battle is with the ASA and the anesthetist....If we leave it up to the docs, none of us would be paid what we are paid and would not have the benefit packages that we now enjoy...I just wrote a letter of recommendation for my best friend to hopefully get into the Emory program for AA's and I really hope that he gets into the program as all of their grads function as well as any new grad CRNA...There are plenty of jobs to go around for all of us....Tom
