i have basically always wanted to do something tolerable that makes a lot of money and offers plenty of vacation, and both being an AA and a dentist fit that bill. but dentists have a much higher income ceiling and with fewer hours of work, whereas an AA will likely top out at 170-180k (this is assuming healthcare reform doesn't deflate salaries) and have to put in hours of overtime to make more. for those of us who want nicer things and aren't guilty about making a lot of money, that's not enough
