Every sector has a ton of high paying jobs. However, just as some salaries for new AAs may have declined, so has the pay/jobs for every other sector of the economy....we are, after all, in the worst economic times since the great depression.
Just remember you aren't going to make $1 mil. right out of school. It takes time and effort to be successful-in ANYTHING. I chose this career because I've been in love with anesthesia since I had surgery @ 16 years old. Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life...be the best at what you do-and you'll be financially rewarded for it.
