For the past year I'd been looking for my next step in life(either graduate school or employment), and I got a new job in Tokyo(full-time English teacher)! I'm pretty central, so it's by far the most urban area I've ever lived in (not a high bar, but still lol), so it's been a bit of an adjustment. Tokyo summers are brutal.

I'll be starting the new job in September, but I'll be helping out with a short camp program starting tomorrow. I've been looking forward to it!

My main goals are mostly short term at the moment. I still need to get a bunch of things to really feel settled in my new place, but I have all the major electrical appliances I need. Also, I am proud to say that I did pretty much everything moving-related in Japanese. My brain is still mush.

Also, some happy news, I'm going to be an aunt in a few weeks! I'll probably head back to the states to see the baby for the winter holidays.
