This summer I traveled quite a bit. A new place was Nepal. The number of temples was really impressive. People seemed very religious/spiritual and of course very friendly. I enjoyed learning about the different ethnic groups in the country, especially the Sherpas (mostly Tibetan Buddhists) and the Gurhkas (military tradition). Also just toured Cornwall and Devon in the UK. Such beautiful and peaceful areas. The Dartmoor National Park was very nice, the semi-wild horses were gorgeous and people friendly. I also noticed that people in those small coastal towns and villages were extremely friendly and open, not like the typical reserved British folks. lol And of course it was hard to resist clotted cream! Oh another interesting event was in Bath where they had celebration of Jane Austen's 250th birthday. Made me want to re-read some of her books. And I actually watched the movie Persuasion (her last book) with a lot of Bath scenes.
Anyway school starts tomorrow. Life goes back to routine again. Haha
