It is mainly in the UK, and it is sort of all over. I live in the east of England, and I've been across near Wales, and to the Peak District this summer, but most places have been local-ish (typically within a 1 - 2.5 hour drive of my home).
Last May, I took a ferry to The Netherlands and camped there but otherwise it is all UK.
2. I actually have a small selection of tents! This is because I do different types of camping, so I have different levels/types of set ups, depending on things like how many nights, whether I'm driving, if (or how far) I will need to carry any, or all of my gear, whether I'm doing all my own cooking and packing all my own food, whether I need things like my musical instruments as I often camp at events where I'm performing, and also the time of year (I typically camp from mid April/early May until late September / early October, so I'm not prepared for proper winter nights, but I do camp when it drops to around or just under freezing overnight.
The most typical tent I use the most is the vango 350 as seen here: https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/15894121/vango-omega-350-3-person-tent-15894121
But I also have the 200 as seen here: https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/15906213/vango-nova-200-2-person-tent-15906213
I also have a hammock (this one: https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/lightweight-hammock-p16386.aspx/), and I have a single skin festival style dome tent I got in a charity shop for £4, in black material which I've sometimes used like a little black out sleeping pod. It's not exactly this, but it's this style/size: https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9549469
I also have a tarp (this one: https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/tarp-2.85-x-2.85m-p23896.aspx/) which I can pitch in various ways either alone or as an extra part to my tent in poor weather (eg for cooking / sitting under!)
It sounds like a lot but I've sort of acquired them over time. I worked out I've camped in my 350 on at least 100 separate nights (I typically camp about 25-30 nights per year), and therefore paid less than £2 per night of use for it.
And yes, travelling is a good motivator for languages - I'm planning to go to France next month!
