Yes indeed I do Mr. Murphy. I will send in the request to Mr. Stubbendeick and the requisite $40 and have this older 2E 12 with the 32" barrels and the ventilated rib researched. I will describe this special Smith in another post on this forum, and the $25 annual membership I have here on the LCSCA website is worth every penny, ditto the research letter I received on my other 2E 12 mfg. 1907. I am going to pass on this E-Bay offering as I spent $2000 to purchase this second Smith gun, and as you and some of the other learned gentlemen here have kindly pointed out, it is an original catalogue, and the dealer is trustworthy. As it is a bid item I believe, the price may well be over the current high water mark of $475 once the auction closes, and a BOD member e-mailed me with the message that should I, or for that matter, another gentleman on this site purchase same, it could not be properly reproduced and then shared with the paid membership, as with my original intent. Again, thank you for your insight and willingness to share with all your many years of collecting and shooting the L.C. Smith guns.
