Back in August 1963 when I got my Super-Fox it came with two and a half boxes of 12-gauge 3-inch Remington Arrow Express shells loaded with 1 5/8 ounce of #4 and #5. Those shells had to date from the mid- to late 1930s. I promptly shot them up at dem web footed fowls. In 2000 a buddy bought a mixed case of old shells at the gun show in Richmond, Virginia, because he wanted some that were loaded with #10 shot. He gave me a nice clean box of Winchester Super-Speed 12-gauge 2 3/4 inch 3 3/4 dram equiv. 1 1/4 ounce of #6. When I got to Nebraska with them that fall, none would go off. Curbed my enthusiasm for 65 year old primers!

I stopped by the Inland Empire Trap Shoot at the Spokane Gun Club, and got a flat of Federal papers to satisfy my need for "the smell" from the ammo dealer there. He said I was going to be in shock when he told me the price and I sure was!! But, when a junkie needs a fix!!!
