I maybe wrong on the "stanard" equipment part but I am going from what I have read. In particular, on pg. 259 of the Legend Lives in the Options paragraph it is stated, "By 1948, automatic ejectors, single trigger, semi-beavertail forend, reocil pad and ivory sights were standard equipment."
I should have prefeced my statement with the post 1948 info...sorry about that. As to the rest of the story...I am still gathering the info. Once I learn it all and get it down in writing, I will share, "the rest of the story".
