Jason; Congratulations on a great acquisition and a beautiful, high-conditioned piece. I read with interest you comments and like everyone else, want to hear the rest of the story. One thing I noted in your comments was "This gun had to be special ordered as guns in this grade came standard with a Beavertail forend, single trigger and ejectors". Your gun was obviously special ordered with the beavertail, and maybe even a special request for high-grade wood; but it is my understanding that the beavertail. single trigger, and ejector options were never standard equipment on an Ideal Grade Smith gun. Did I miss something?
